The month of October means harvest time! It’s a annual celebration, The small towns just outside of Gettysburg come together to pay homage and indulge the favorite fruit of the season. Held at the South Mountain Fairgrounds, the festival is a world of apples. Festival goers can enjoy apple-bobbing, fresh-pressed cider, candy apples, fresh apple sauce, and, of course, get a few, fresh apples to enjoy at home. Apples, apples and more; who knew all of the apple-ingredient foods you can enjoy. Accompanied with live music, crafts and games; you can easily make this adventure one to remember with family and friends.

Making a weekend getaway to Maine is a no-brainer, seeing as though all of the yummy seafood is in season. Mid-October in Portland is a packed house with tons of out-of-towners and tourists in town to enjoy good eats, wineries and beer season!

The 5-day autumn festival showcases Santa Fe’s most profound food cuisines, which thankfully involves a lot of chili spices. Though it’s not as spicy as it sounds, Santa Fe’s culinary life has been gaining momentum and is one of the most sought out experiences to participate in out west!
