New Orleans is a good place to travel. It’s known for its Mardi Gras, music and food. There is a couple of places that you can stay at for a really good price. One that has really good reviews is Place d’Armes Hotel. For a week stay the price estimates around $ 149. When going somewhere its best to stay off-season for cheaper rates. To get some of the local cuisine, travel during the springtime for free crawfish boils. If you are not a big fan of crawfish, try some of the locals’ restaurants for meals under $20.00. If you travel during the right time, you can catch a free music festival with free food. Visiting the famous St. Louis Cemetery, to get a tour of the above- ground tombstones is very cool and free. You will be able to see the final resting place of the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveua. Also you can take a tour of New Orleans with a bike for around $6.00.

Atlanta is a budget friendly destination. Whether you’re riding solo or traveling with your family, Atlanta has a lot of attractions for everybody. Some of the best places to stay are located near Atlanta’s top attractions. To get the best deals plan the trip an advance and start looking on Priceline for the best deals. The Metropolitan Transit is the best way to get around the city. Purchasing a visitor pass for four days cost $12.00, but if you need to travel outside the city, its best to rent a car but just remember Atlanta’s legendary traffic. Some parks to visit are Stone Mountain Park or the Centennial Olympic Park. Centennial Park is in the heart of the city located near the Phillips Arena and Georgia’s Aquarium. Make sure to pack swimming gear because four times a day the fountains go off.

If you’re a lobster connoisseur, Portland, Maine is the place to be. There are a lot of things to do in Portland for free. You can take the ferry which will cost you about $10.00 and you will be able to see professional baseball games at a fraction of major leagues games or just relax on the white sandy beaches. Some places to eat are Becky’s Diner or Gilberts Chowder House, which are local restaurants with good food for a great price. Some places to stay within budget are Holiday Inn or Travelodge Bangor; for a four-day stay it can run about $57.00. If you love the water Portland will be great for you. Grab some lunch and just relax on the beach for the rest of the day.
